M fits 35 to 48cm, roughly 17.5 to 30kg. L fits 45 to 60cm, roughly 30 to 42.5kg. XL takes 57cm and up, for the giant breeds. Go by the head measurement rather than the weight, since head shapes vary a lot between breeds. Where two sizes overlap, the smaller one muffles more.
Introduce it well before you need it. Put it on for a minute on a calm day with a treat, take it off, and build up from there. A dog who already knows the hood will accept it far more easily than one meeting it for the first time in the middle of a firework display.

They arrived just in time for the national holidays in Mexico City and are a good size for my dogs.

Have a flatcoated retriever. Doesn't even reach ears. Not sure why on ordering the item is was large but changed to sml. Not happy

The ear muffs are too small for my 7.5 kg Schnauzer; the rubber between the ear muffs is very tight, more suitable for a Chihuahua or a tiny Yorkie.

It is clearly the same as in the pictures. Made of very fine fabric (lycra), with velcro at the bottom. In the part of the ear cups, it's like the cups of a sports bra, a bit firmer.
I chose size M based on the seller's measurements and the comments of other buyers. My dog weighs 26kg and it's a little tight for her. I specifically ordered it because of the fireworks, since in Valencia, with the theme of the fiestas, it's a nightmare for her. I hope it works.
As soon as I put it on... he fell down, I don't know if it's because he feels strange with this on his head or because it relaxes him (I'll keep an eye on it these days, since the holidays are starting). It's a bit tedious to put on since my dog has big ears (a mix of a mastiff and an English setter). I hope it doesn't shake and come off.

I specifically waited to try it out; it's a great product. I bought it to walk my dogs in the rain. It's completely waterproof. And a very nice feature is that it reduces noise. My dogs were very afraid of outside sounds. Since I started using these, they walk more comfortably.❤️❤️❤️❤️

Size S fits well and seems to serve its purpose. It helps with the noise from fireworks and firecrackers.
It's not as nice as in the photo, I bought size M but I believe a smaller size would be better for a Shih Tzu.
