This policy explains what personal information Fidelis collects, why we collect it, and what rights you have. We are the data controller for the information described here and we handle it in line with UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
When you place an order we collect your name, billing and delivery address, email address, telephone number and details of what you bought. Payment card details are entered directly into our payment provider and are never seen or stored by us.
When you sign up to our emails we collect your email address.
When you contact us we collect your name, email address and whatever you choose to tell us.
When you browse the site we collect technical information such as your IP address, browser, device type and the pages you view, through cookies and similar technologies.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
To take and fulfil your order, and to provide customer service. Lawful basis: performance of a contract with you.
To send you marketing emails, where you have asked us to. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
To keep records for tax and accounting. Lawful basis: our legal obligations.
To keep the site secure, prevent fraud and understand how the site is used. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in running a safe and functioning shop.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the companies that make the shop work. These include Shopify, which hosts the store, our payment providers, the couriers who deliver your order, our supplier for the purpose of fulfilling your order, and our email provider. Each of them handles your information under their own terms and only for the purpose we have given it to them. We never sell your personal information.
International transfers
Some of these companies are based outside the United Kingdom. Where information is transferred abroad it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
Order and transaction records are kept for seven years to meet HMRC requirements. Marketing consent records are kept until you unsubscribe, and for a short period afterwards to show we honoured your request. Enquiries are kept for two years.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw consent to marketing at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We use cookies that are necessary to run the shop, such as remembering your basket, and analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used.
